Our mission is to deliver highly engaging, immersive and inclusive musical experiences to every child and adult we work with. To use our love of music, our personalities and experience to provide not just musical learning opportunities, but to play a part in the development of a whole self.

Our everyday observations and experiences (and all the research) show us that music plays a huge role in improving children's self-esteem, focus, confidence, motivation, group cohesion, happiness and creativity, not to mention the positive impact carried over into other areas of learning and school life.  The list goes on and on.  To us, the benefits of engagement in music knows no bounds.

Music is communication beyond words; it’s another little life in which to practice the art of giving, an art which makes you more joyous the more you practice it. - John Stevens, Musician, Music educator

After many years living in London and working as a recording/touring musician and music educator, I relocated to the Suffolk countryside with my family in 2015.

Music has always given me identity, purpose, confidence and an incredible wealth of shared experiences. I’m deeply passionate about my role in guiding young people to discover these things for themselves.

I have performed all over the world, taught in countless schools and world renowned arts organisations and, for the last decade, have run a busy private tuition practice.

Alongside the Get Rhythm team of inspiring, energetic and effective tutors, we strive to offer a refreshing, unique and high quality service.

We assure quality of delivery through offering CPD to all tutors and regular observations. We are proud of our consistent quality across the team.

“I love that every day as a singing teacher is different. One minute I could be helping a student earn UCAS points with their grade 8 exam, and the next I'm encouraging a desperately shy child make any kind of sound at all! Every achievement, no matter how small, is a rewarding moment for me, and that's why I love my job.”
